It's making my brain turn to MUSH. EVERY time my cousin talks to me he ends up complaining about anyone that isn't an english white guy. The comments he makes are just so drop-down-dead-from-STUPID, I'm amazed he even remembers how to BREATHE. AND HE JUST WON'T STOP! After all the pointed comments and dirty looks you'd have thought he would have gotten the message that I don't agree. Not. So. >X(

ETA: For the love of!! I've been looking back at some of the things I've watched over the years and they all seem to have actors from the new(ish, for me anyway) programmes I'm watching now. Only I never even noticed them! I keep going over their lists at IMDB and going: "Whaaaaa no way! I woulda noticed that! I woulda!"

Obviously didn't but...urgh, *sigh* I've got unobserventness down to an art form.

HEEEE, Mum and I have just finished watching the first half of season 4. She's not an obsessive fangirl like I am and she doesn't actually think SPN is all that great - BLASPHEMY - I swear my heart stopped! Anyway she won back points by saying that it's worth watching just for Jensen. She thinks he's HAWT XD MWhahaha...I have no appropriate icons :(

I saw a vid somewhere and it actually looks quite good but then I'm not a hardcore fan (not even softcore tbh). I can't imagine it'll be too bad since the threat of pissed trekkies woulda kept some people in line but then again look at what George Lucas did...

I liked Identity. I cracked up when Lois asked Clark to zip up her dress; the look on his face! XP and, of course, the clollie. "Clark, you made out with my girlfriend, man. What’d you have to complain about?" BWHAHAHAHAHA! Poor Ollie, having to wear that dorky outfit too.

Bloodline. Meh. As soon as I heard "this'll do" I knew I'd heard it before. Took me a couple of seconds but I got it in the end; Illyria said almost the exact same thing when she took over Fred. Disappointed that Kara is back, hadn't really missed her much. And the fuck? SV's version of Chris Kent is Doomsday? I wish I could say I was surprised that they did this but...*shrugs* I think I've resigned myself to the craziness.

Also, I want an Ollie teddy. He's just so damn adorable.

Got home from my party a couple of hours ago, now with two friends listenin to music :)

I had a brilliant time. Got all dolled up (which I don't do. I'm strictly a jean and t-shirt person) in a dress and heels; my mum nearly passed out when she found out what I was wearing lol. There was much merriment all around! Just so happy with how it went I can't really get anything else out XP

I watched 'Instinct' and 'Committed' the other day. My old laptop got taken away and it took seven days for my new one to arrive so I had nothing better to do. The eps didn't completely suck. I was a little disappointed with Maxima's appearance; I was expecting an actress built like E.D (ya know, kinda amazonian like) instead we get this fragile looking thing whose voice annoyed me. She just didn't seem to fit the character (for me anyway). I had a few other problems with it but otherwise I'm glad I didn't switch channels. 'Committed' - Clois is awesome. I don't think I'll ever ship SV Clois but I'll cheer on shared screen time.
Ah, OLLIE! omg the expression on his face when Lois told him LOL. He's so adorable. I wanted to hug him :P

I have found the awesomeness that is House M.D. It does get repetitive but the characters and different situations more than make up for it.

Also, while I was LPless I started playing my PS2 more often. Maaaan, I SUCK! Seriously, I'm on, like, the third stage of Kingdom Hearts and I can't get past it :(
Fight games (or anything like it) aren't my thing. I like them a lot, I'm just not good at playing them. Car games = my achilles heel. I can get a bit obsessive, esp if I'm playing on the machines with a steering wheel. Things get ugly.

So yeah. I wanna continue Kingdom Hearts but I'm afraid my brain will fry and I'll end up throwing things...which actually already started. I was so close to beating that crappy lizard thing and then my mum walked in and I lost! I nearly cried! I didn't. I did throw the controller at the TV *whistles tunelessly*

Can't say I payed much attention to any of it but I am glad that Obama won for the sheer fact that I didn't like Palin. Silly? Probaby. She just really rubbed me the wrong way in the few interviews I did watch/read.

So when I was in Junior school (YR3 - YR6) I'd spend most of my time at my best friend's house watching Dragon Ball Z with him (or at least trying; his brothers would usually act out a scene or two, effectively getting in the way of the TV). Some great memories there. I even had a crush on Piccolo...AND NOW LOOK WHAT THEY'VE DONE TO HIM!!!

Which reminds me! Creepy Batman/Joker fic is all over the place lately. I find that...creepy *g* I don't get it but then some people don't get Clark/Lex so I guess we're even.

Another new favourite! Yami No Matsuei or Descendants of Darkness is made of WIN. Tsuzuki is so cute XD I have an idea for fic though it probably won't go anywhere *le sigh* Damn my laziness.

I've also been trying to find the DVDs and everywhere I look (including UK sites) they say that the DVDs will only work in Region 1. So they'll play in America? and work in DVD players with that format, right? *looks miserable* At times like this it sucks to live in England.

Heeeeeeey peeps! Officially back on LJ XD and wow do I have a lot to talk about!

First! OMG TDK!! I need to watch it again but I'm sticking with AWESOME atm. There were a few things I didn't like (such as the cheesey voice-over thing with Rachel *gag* though I did prefer the actress that played her in this one) but overall I left the cinema with a smile (which is rare).

Anyone else seen Gotham Knight? I liked most of the art and thought the other pieces were interesting and liked the storylines.

And OH! Sleepless nights! I've recently found those Anime OVA thingies and OMG! Sheer Awesomeness. Gakuen Heaven is absolutely gorgeous. I had a bit of a problem with everyone falling over Keita but just watching the glimpses we see of the other characters more than makes up for it in my eyes.

I have other favourites: Kirepapa (Beautiful Dad) - A thirty minute OVA about an extremely overprotective dad who goes so far as to put laxatives in his son's friends' food to keep them from 'molesting' his poor innocent child. It's light and fun to watch with a just a smidge of angst. I think it was recommended for first timers.

Now for the heart breaker. Haru no Daite: Fuyu no Semi (Winter Cicada) is made up of three thirty minute OVAs. Fuyu no Semi is a very Romeo and Julietesque tale set in Feudal Japan during a time when Japan had a closed door policy. Our main characters - Akizuki Keiichirou and Kusaka Touma - of course, are born to different families with different views on what Japan should be. Though they both believe their country should embrace cultures from all over Kusaka is part of a group that is firmly against opening Japan's doors and gets beaten when his clan grows suspicious of his loyalties.
This anime is quite unique in that while other yaoi anime focus more on the pairing, Fuyu no Semi focuses more on the characters' struggle than teh sex.
Though the ending is equal to a kick in the stomach and will probably leave you in a depressed state for days it is filled with history and struggle and shouldn't be missed.


I could go on about all the other stuff I've been up to, but...I can't be arsed ;D

I'm really sorry to everyone who is looking forward to B&H and to svgurl for not posting that CK/OQ fic and I'm even sorrier that you'll have to wait longer. I've been gone for some time already, having not checked on LJ for a couple of weeks now but I wanted to make it all offical like and say that I'm going on hiatus. I really enjoyed working in this fandom and will be back sometime in the future however at the moment my tastes are taking me elsewhere. I hope to become sucked back in sooner rather than later but until then I wish each of you happy tidings in all things fannish.
